From Waste Glass Bottle to Glass
27. 1. 2024
In the workshop, we will recycle waste bottles and create unique products from them that can be reused.
Bring along interestingly shaped waste bottles, and we will teach you how to cut the glass using a diamond saw, grind it on a machine, and polish it with abrasive sponges. Later, we will add engraved, etched, or sandblasted details to the new product, such as a glass with a thick bottom.
During the workshop, you will gain basic knowledge of cold glass processing, including cutting, grinding, etching, engraving, and sandblasting.
This workshop, which encourages creativity and manual skills, teaches the basics of glass design and explores ways of reusing materials. It is intended for adults interested in glass design.
The workshop will be led by designers Brigita Gantar and Nika Šantej, who are also permanent mentors at the Center Rog.
Participants should gather 5 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog.
Workshop fees are non-refundable. Participation in the workshop can be transferred to another person; notify us at least 24 hours before the start by email at info@center-rog.si.
