Flower wreaths, workshop with Ana Lazovski

Before coming to our workshop on making unique headbands, you can visit Ljubljana Castle, where, from May 16 to September 22, 2024, the exhibition The Magic of Millinery by master hatmaker Ana Lazovski will be on display in the Pentagonal Tower. You might find inspiration for the headband you will create under her guidance during the workshop.

In the 4-hour session in the textile lab, we will hone our hand-decorating skills and make two different headbands. Together, we will learn how to prepare, pad, and stabilize a metal headband, cover it with any fabric, and decorate it with unique fabric flowers made from various materials using interesting techniques and millinery tricks. Our second headband will be inspired by oriental turbans, based on decorative folding and pleating of fabric.

The workshop is intended for adults and youth aged 15 and up. Basic hand sewing skills are desirable. Materials, including metal headbands, are included in the price, and you will take the headbands home after the workshop, surely adding flair to your summer outfits.

Ana Lazovski lives and creates in London, where she works as a mask designer, "color maestro," and milliner.

Participants are to gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of the Rog Center. Please store personal belongings in the lockers before the program begins. Do not be late for the program. We cannot guarantee entry in case of tardiness—once the creative process starts, joining the session is no longer possible!

The workshop will be conducted with a minimum of 6 participants. In case of cancellation, you will be notified at least two days before the program starts.

In case of non-attendance, the fee is non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. However, you can transfer your participation to another person by notifying us at least 24 hours before the start at: tekstil@center-rog.si.
