Digital Fashion: Possibilities and Challenges
3. 6. 2025

At the conclusion of the Erasmus+ project Me-You-Us, which established a three-year collaboration between three higher education institutions — Design School Kolding (DK), and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the University of Ljubljana (SI) — we are hosting a presentation of the project results, a round table discussion, and a final exhibition.
Me-You-Us focuses on developing digital 3D competencies in textile and fashion design for diversity, inclusion, and the green transition. The project aims to strengthen digitalisation in academic programmes and processes while fostering new knowledge that deepens sustainable content. Its objective was to develop nine educational modules in the field of textile and fashion design, incorporating various digital tools — including the CLO3D software — all of which are open-access. These modules are intended for mentors, students, and other interested individuals. The Department of Textile and Clothing Design at NTF UL developed three of the modules, one each year.
The event opens up a reflection on the possibilities and challenges posed by new digital approaches in fashion design, on building synergies between traditional manual skills and emerging technologies, and on their contribution to a sustainable and inclusive design future.
