Neighbor Day 2025: Clay Throwing Competition

On Neighbor Day, Saturday, June 7, 2025, there will also be a very special clay throwing competition at 4 PM and 5 PM on the potter’s wheel. Test your skills on the wheel. Practical prizes await the winners.
Competition rules:
- Amount of clay: Each participant will receive 3 kg of clay.
- Preparation time: Before starting, each participant has 10 minutes to prepare the clay (kneading).
- Throwing time: Then follows 15 minutes of throwing on the potter’s wheel.
- Goal: Create a product with a diameter of at least 10 cm. The height of the cylinder is measured.
- Retries: Participants can start over but will not receive additional clay – they must work with the clay they already have.
- Judging: After time is up, height and diameter are evaluated.
