Creating Crayons from Waste Oil and Natural Pigments [8.2.]
8. 2. 2024
At the workshop, children will learn how to make crayons from waste oil and natural pigments. We will introduce materials used for making crayons and natural dyes found in our local environment, such as turmeric and dried red soil. With a simple process of heating and mixing non-hazardous raw materials, we will create and test crayons that children can take home at the end of the workshop.
The workshop will be led by Rok Oblak, an independent creator specializing in innovating products from natural materials and biocomposites, and Sašo Jakob, a biochemistry student exploring intersections of science and design in various forms.
The workshop is intended for children aged 8 to 15 years.
The assembly of participants is 5 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. During the workshop, children participate without the company of parents.
The workshop will be conducted with a minimum of 6 registrations. In case of non-execution, you will be informed at the latest two days before the start of the program.
Participation in the workshop can be transferred to another person; please notify us at least 24 hours before the start at the email address: info@center-rog.si.
