Clay piggy bank

Do all piggy banks have to be in the shape of a pig? Not necessarily, but it is true that the pig has symbolized wealth and prosperity for centuries. Perhaps that's why pig-shaped piggy banks have been designed all over the world, from Java to Germany.

At this workshop, young creators will make a piggy bank that will serve as their savings or as a gift. They will get acquainted with clay as a material for creation and with basic clay modeling techniques. They will sketch, model, and paint with engobes so that the final shape is exactly as they envisioned. With clay, we can make a variety of different things; our only limitation is imagination.

The final product, a unique piggy bank, will be dried, fired, and glazed by the team at Center Rog, and in about 14 days, it will be ready for pickup at the Made in Rog store. And no, it doesn't have to be in the shape of a pig.

The workshop is suitable for children from 12 years old. No prior knowledge is required.

About the mentors:

The workshop will be led by Anja Radović, a glass and ceramics designer and sculptor. She mainly focuses on manual ceramic design using a combination of various techniques, such as imprinting, building with strips and coils, and casting clay into molds.

The assembly of participants will be 5 minutes before the agreed-upon time in the entrance hall of Center Rog.

The workshop will be held with a minimum of 6 registrations. In case of non-execution, you will be informed at the latest two days before the start of the program.
