Rog Expo 2025: Internal Call for Submission of Works for the Exhibition
Rog Expo is an exhibition of Center Rog’s annual production, on view in the Glass Annex and the Main Hall from November through February next year. We are looking for innovative and thoughtful projects emerging from our labs. If you create at Center Rog and would like to showcase your work, you are invited to apply.
Submission Deadline: 21 September 2025
Exhibition Opening: 12 November 2025, 7:00 PM (on view until 8 February 2026)
This year’s RogExpo 2025 exhibition focuses on themes exploring boundaries and tensions in contemporary society—from new materials and ethics in design to coexistence with other beings and overcoming social inequalities.
We are looking for innovative and thoughtful products or prototypes that respond to the festival theme and encourage dialogue on questions such as:
- How can biodegradable materials reshape aesthetics while reducing environmental impact?
- How does design address hybrid cultural identities, gender inclusivity, and the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence?
- How can design contribute to reducing inequality, post-conflict recovery, and better coexistence?
Who can participate?
Users of individual studios, participants of the Mladi Rog program, residents, independent lab users, mentors, and participants of workshops, clubs, and partner programs are welcome to apply. Works may still be in progress but must be completed by 10 October 2025.
Selection Criteria
- The product or prototype must be functional, aesthetically refined, and an innovative response to the theme Boundaries and Tensions.
- Emphasis on sustainable practices: recycled, natural, local, or traceable materials, long lifespan, repairability, and recyclability.
- Preference will be given to works created in Center Rog’s production laboratories (using multiple labs).
Selection and Awards
Selection of works will be made by curators Alja Fir and Anja Radović.
- Users of individual studios, Mladi Rog participants, and residents are exempt from exhibition fees.
- Independent lab users and mentors will receive a one-year Center Rog user package (valued at €400).
Timeline
- Submission deadline: 21 September 2025
- Notification of selection: by 26 September 2025
- Final work submission: 10 October 2025
- Exhibition opening: 12 November 2025, 7:00 PM
