On Culture Day, we are throwing open our doors wide.
On Thursday, February 8th, 2024, we invite you to join us for numerous free workshops for children and adults, public guided tours, and other activities that we have prepared for the cultural holiday. Center Rog will be open from 9 am to 6 pm. All workshops and guided tours will be free on this day.
Program:
Workshops for children, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. / REGISTRATION
- Make eco-candles from waste oil; green lab
- I'll be a kurent for the masks!; making carnival masks; textile lab
- Little chefs in action; sweet hedgehogs 1, 2, 3; cooking lab
- Getting to know 3D printing;
Make glowing decorations for carnival Workshops for adults, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. / REGISTRATION
- Making a pendant with stamped Prešeren verses; jewelry lab
- Bowl – word; bowl design workshop; ceramics lab
- Make the board game Quarto; woodworking lab
- Creating with iron; metal hanger for home;
- Metalworking lab
Public guided tours / REGISTRATION
- At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. – guided tour of Center Rog
- At 4 p.m. – guided tour of the photo exhibition on the transformation of Center Rog with authors Branko Čeak and Jure Horvat
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., we invite you to visitthe studios of Center Rogand the common space Mladi Rog, where creative individuals have been developing various innovative and socially beneficial products since autumn, which they will be delighted to present.
From the Rog Library, we announce:
"On Prešeren's Day, the atmosphere will be cheerful also at the Rog Library, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will create with poetry, make brooches and paper products. We will have fun with Active Floor games, interactive floor games. Children will also be able to find some riddles about Prešeren among the shelves. Members who join the Mestna knjižnica Ljubljana library for the first time that day will receive a one-year membership for free. Bring your ID and Urban card with you, which you can also buy at the library."
Throughout the day, the Specialka café and our drop-in corners in the glass annex will be open
