Design the Neighbor Day 2026 program with us
We traditionally celebrate Neighbor Day on the first Saturday in June, a day dedicated to connecting and socializing with neighbors of the Center Rog, both near and far. This year it will take place on Saturday, 6 June 2026. You are invited to a preparatory meeting where we will design this year’s celebration of our community. The meeting will be held on Thursday, 19 March 2026, at 18:00 in Multipurpose Room 2.
Neighbor Day is a community event, so preparations begin already in April. In numerous preparatory workshops, we will make refreshing kombucha for the day, create props for various activities (for example: giant chess for the park, decorations for your pets, glass flower pots, etc.), and help prepare food for the community picnic.
Would you like to co-create the event program with us? Join us at the preparatory meeting on Thursday, 19 March 2026, at 18:00, in Multipurpose Room 2, 2nd floor of Center Rog.
Neighbors, organizations, and service providers from the area around Center Rog are all welcome. We will also be happy to welcome those who may not live nearby but feel connected to Center Rog. Everyone living in Ljubljana but coming from different cultural backgrounds is also invited. Neighbor Day is an opportunity to meet and learn from each other.
At the meeting, we will:
- Review what happened at Neighbor Day 2025,
- Present plans for this year’s event,
- Introduce free preparatory workshops in the labs,
- Exchange ideas about the program and start the preparations.
