Digital November 2021 - Call for French makers/designers!

The workshop is taking place as part of Digital November, an international initiative from the Institut Français (French Institute). The Ljubljana event is being jointly organised by the RogLab creative hub, the French Institute in Slovenia, and Vulca, the European network for makers and hackers.

We are searching for French mentor(s) with proven expertise in digital and product design. If you are a technological expert with a strong track record in mentoring high-level innovation workshops in the digital technologies – e.g. e-textiles, biohacking, green technologies, robotics, mobility, artificial Intelligence, IoT, electronics, or digital gardening/farming – we would love to hear from you. You (or your team partner) must also have experience in mentoring product design workshops, or in other creative processes such as fashion design, product design, architecture or art. Applications from female mentors are especially welcome.

The working language of the workshop will be English. The aim is that the 10 participants will leave with new skills and knowledge, as well as with a product that they have created in the course of the workshop.

The organisers will provide:

• Mentoring fee: €550 per mentor (max. 2 mentors)
• Cost of materials: €400
• Travel expenses from France
• 4 nights’ accommodation in Ljubljana
• Use of RogLab equipment
• Support from 1 RogLab mentor and 1 Vulca representative throughout the workshop

You will be expected to:

• Work with the RogLab and Vulca team in preparing the workshop.
• Come to Ljubljana in November (from 13th - 21st) to deliver the workshop.
