Reuse Day at Center Rog

Across fifteen thematic stands, we will explore how objects can gain a new life before they become waste. Together, we will repair small devices, clothes, and bicycles, exchange books and clothing, create useful items from discarded materials, and get to know initiatives that promote circular economy and responsible resource use in Ljubljana and beyond. The event will be accompanied by a DJ, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

In case of rain, the program will move from the outdoor areas to the indoor spaces of Center Rog.

Program:

14:00–15:00

• Sewing Corner – demonstration: Watch a demonstration of sewing machine use and basic repairs such as sewing buttons, shortening, and mending. (1st floor, Glass Annex, Center Rog, organized by the Textile Lab)

14:00–16:00

• Beeswax wraps: We will make sustainable beeswax wraps from natural materials. (drop-in workshop, Green Lab)
• Recycled bag: We will transform waste plastic bags into new useful products. (drop-in workshop, FabLab)

14:00–17:00

• Creative clothing upcycling workshop by Morja Zala. Discover unique upcycled products by the Morja brand and give your clothes a new look. The workshop is limited in capacity, so prior registration is required. Register here.

14:00–20:00

• Toy repair workshop by Mala ulica

15:00–20:00

• Clothing swap Bring/Take (NTF): Bring clean, well-preserved clothes and accessories and exchange them for other items – read more about the rules here. (Main Hall, 1st floor, Center Rog)

16:00–18:00

• Self-service bicycle repair (Metal Lab, Dean Frank): With expert support, repair your bike and learn basic maintenance.

16:00–19:00

• Popravc – small appliance repair: At this workshop by the Library of Things, you can fix small broken devices and prepare them for reuse. Due to limited spots, registration is required. Sign up here.

17:00–18:00

Participation in all workshops is free of charge.
