Center Rog at Maker Faire Trieste
Center Rog was at Maker Faire Trieste, which took place last Saturday, 10 May and Sunday, 11 May 2025.
The 8th edition of the Festival of Invention, Learning and Creativity took place in Trieste, organised by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics and the Municipality of Trieste. Maker Faire Trieste is the largest gathering of fablabs and similar maker spaces of creativity in the region.
The main square, Piazza d'Unità, was transformed into a ‘maker village’, with Center Rog also presenting at the stand. All nine laboratories of Center Rog were introduced with selected prototypes and materials. The most attention from passers-by was drawn by the giant 3D-printed Chinese dragon created in our FabLab. Curious visitors were also impressed by the 3D printed ceramic cups and vases created in our ceramics lab, as well as the delicate jewellery from the jewellery lab. A special attraction was the demonstration of 3D scanning and 3D printing of portraits of visitors to our stand.
