Hand Knitting Station

Manual knitting machines are designed for knitting fabric by the meter or finished products. The possibilities are numerous: on a domestic knitting machine, you can knit a sweater, hat, socks, blanket, scarf, and more. A pattern book of stitches and techniques helps you decorate each product with the technique you like best.

Single-bed knitting machine Brother KH-580

• 200 needles
• Suitable for knitting lacy and lace patterns, plain knitting, intarsia, etc.

Double-bed knitting machine Singer Memomatic:

• 200 needles (on each knitting bed)
• Suitable for knitting ribbing, simple two-tone patterns (jacquard knitting), also plain knitting, etc.

What should I bring to the knitting station?

Your own yarn (multiple yarn thicknesses possible; consult with the textile lab team during training before purchasing).

Usage time (including preparation and cleaning):

• duration of one time slot is 2 hours
• station usage is possible 2–6 hours/day
• reservation is possible at least 1 hour and up to 7 days before the start of the time slot
• cancellation of the reservation is possible up to 2 hours before the time slot
• with timely cancellation, the same single-entry ticket can be used again
