You are invited to a workshop for those who have mastered baking bread with sourdough starter and would like to take the next step in exploring sourdough baking.

This time, we will approach the baking of sweet treats in a slightly different way. In the workshop, you will discover which sweet treats you can easily make with sourdough starter. You will learn how to prepare enriched dough with sourdough starter and how to care for it. You will also become acquainted with the technique of dough handling, known as the stretch and fold technique. Finally, you will bake and, of course, indulge in sinfully sweet treats.

During the workshop, we will create characteristic French brioche, Swedish cinnamon rolls, and Russian babka in mini form.

About the Mentors:

The workshop will be led by Ksenija Podgrajšek, Ph.D., a nutritionist and the founder of a boutique bakery called "Pekarna malo drugače" (Bakery a Bit Different). In her bakery, she bakes more than 30 different types of bread and various sweet treats. All products are handmade using sourdough starter and organic ingredients.
